Every year, King George Square in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD has an iconic Christmas display. Solahart is thrilled to be powering this year’s display, including the annual light projection show and the stunning centrepiece; a 22m tall Christmas tree decorated with thousands of twinkling fairy lights and a huge colourful star.
In keeping with the Council’s carbon reduction strategy, the whole event will be powered by renewables. Solahart has installed the first stage of a 20kW solar power system to power this year’s display.
Throughout the season, the CBD will feature markets, carols, parades, fireworks, movies and fun for the whole family. The activation is an annual highlight in the city and brings thousands of tourists and locals to the CBD.
